The At Home Hypnosis App

These sections apply when you use the At Home Hypnosis mobile app. Everything above about educational content, intellectual property and third-party links applies to the app as well.

What the app is, and what it is not

The app offers guided hypnosis sessions, sound tones, affirmations and small tools for everyday calm, sleep, focus and confidence. It is a general wellness product.

The app is not medical care, mental health treatment or therapy, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. It is not a substitute for a doctor, therapist or other qualified professional. If you are working with one, they are the right person to talk to about anything that comes up in your sessions.

The app is not made for a crisis. If you are in danger or need help right now, contact emergency services or a crisis line. The app lists these under "Where to get real help."

Who can use the app

The app is for adults. If you are under 18, use it only with a parent or guardian's permission. The app is not directed at children under 13.

When not to use it

Sessions and tones are meant to relax you. Do not listen while driving, operating machinery, or doing anything that needs your full attention. Use the app somewhere you can safely close your eyes.

Your account

You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with your email address and a code we send you. There is no password. Your name (if you give one) and your email are kept with your account so the app works on any phone you sign in on. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else has used your account.

You can delete your profile from inside the app at any time. See the app section of our privacy policy for what that removes.

Free trial and subscription

The app comes with a 7-day free trial. After the trial, it is a paid subscription, monthly or yearly, and it renews automatically until you cancel. The current prices are shown in the app and in the App Store or Google Play before you start.

Billing is handled by Apple or Google, not by us. We never see your payment details. To avoid being charged, cancel in your App Store or Google Play settings at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.

Cancelling happens only in the App Store or Google Play. Deleting your profile, logging out, or deleting the app from your phone does not cancel your subscription, and the store will keep charging you.

Because Apple and Google handle payment, we cannot issue refunds ourselves. Refund requests go to the store you bought through, under that store's rules.

If you subscribed on another phone or reinstalled the app, sign in with the same account you used before and your plan comes back with it.

What you write in the app

Your journal, your freezer, your affirmations, your weekly goal and streak, and your saved sessions stay on your phone only. They are never sent to us and we cannot see, back up or recover them. If you delete the app, lose your phone or delete your profile, they are gone. You can download a copy at any time from Profile.

What you write in the dumpster and your answers to the freezer questions are never saved anywhere.

Affirmations, the eye-roll test and your camera

Affirmations can use your front camera so you can see yourself while you say your affirmations. There the camera works like a mirror only: nothing is recorded, saved or sent. The eye-roll test, one of the short assessments, can also use the front camera. On a phone it keeps a few seconds of video in the app's temporary storage, plays it back to you once, and deletes it. It is never uploaded. The app never uses your microphone. The camera is optional on both screens and you can turn it off at any time.

Using the app fairly

The same rules as for the site apply. Do not copy, record or redistribute sessions or other app content, use the app for any unlawful purpose, or try to get around the subscription, the sign-in or any part of the app.

Disclaimer of Warranties

This site, the app and their content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the site or the app will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any session will produce a particular result for you.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, At Home Hypnosis and Alexandra Janelli shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site, the app or their content.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site or the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. The dates at the top of this page show the most recent revision and when it took effect.
